Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Apologies for the lack of posts lately. Travel combined with some bad jet lag and a cold have pretty much knocked me out at 5 or 6 pm every night this week. But I think I’ve finally caught up on my sleep and the cold is fading. Yay for normalcy! Anyway, to celebrate the holiday, I thought it would be fun to tell you what I’m thankful for! Yep, I came up with that idea all on my own.
This year I’m so incredibly grateful for each and every single person who has taken the time to read this blog. I originally started it 3 years ago as a way to write down some of my favorite travel memories, but in May of this year I decided to take it full scale. It’s opened a whole new world for me, parts of which I don’t always love (social media) but the rest of which I could spend hours working on and it feels like only minutes. You guys inspire me to keep going. Thank you so much for spending a few minutes of your day with me. I appreciate it more than you know.
That transitions nicely into the next thing I’m thankful for – the ability to travel! For as long as I can remember, even as a young kid, I’ve wanted to see the world. Never in a million years could I have dreamed that I would get to travel as much as I do. I absolutely love it and while I hope it doesn’t end tomorrow, if it did, the traveling I have done has been so amazing and made me a better person today.
I’m so thankful for my two dogs, Sophie and Beau. I miss them so much when I’m traveling, and always can’t wait to come home to them! They love to escape my backyard and chew everything in sight, but I wouldn’t trade them for all the nice things in the world.
Last but not least, my friends and family. I’m so lucky to have my aunts, uncles and cousins, and of course my parents and brother nearby and that I get to see them throughout the year (including later today!). Plus, I have some pretty badass friends who constantly inspire and motivate me to be better myself. Without them, my life wouldn’t be the same. I love you all so much!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
